WHAT DOES BEYOND THOUGHT’S Marketing TEAM DO?

We work closely with the event team and the web and graphic design team to brainstorm ideas, promote virtual events, and create content for social media and the website. Our marketing efforts include social media marketing, recruitment, event marketing, and promoting Beyond Thought issues.

Do I have to be a marketing major or have marketing experience to join the team?

UNLV Undergraduate students from any major are welcome! You don’t have to be a marketing major or have marketing experience to join our team. All you need is an interest to learn and willingness to collaborate with other passionate members!

How much time/work do I have to commit as a marketing team member?

The marketing team meets every Tuesday at 6pm for one to two hours. However, we are flexible for members who aren’t able to attend each meeting, as long as the participation target of two meetings per month is met. Time spent beyond the scheduled meetings depends on the projects you want to be involved in and how much time you would like to devote to them.  We understand that members have several other obligations, so how much time and work you spend on marketing team projects is ultimately up to you.

What is expected from marketing members?

Marketing members are expected to meet our participation targets: attend at least half of the marketing meetings per month (two of the four every month), contribute to social media ideas, and assist with content creation.
